Job Description: Sr. Project Manager Capital Markets / Derivatives Business Technology Projects
Global corporate investment banking division seeks a Senior Project Manager to join their Capital Markets Strategy and Planning group. This group focuses on driving strategic, (industry and technology) initiatives for Capital Markets Operations. In an effort to keep pace with enormous growth, Operations needs to keep pace as well, by driving various strategic initiatives to achieve an efficient, standardized processing environment; the Strategy and Planning Group will provide business analysis, project planning, management, monitoring, and implementation.
Sr. Project Manager will have responsibility for the management and delivery of complex Capital Market and / or Derivatives business technology projects. This position requires demonstrated familiarization with data warehousing, data mining, databases, web-based applications, message-oriented middleware (for example MQ series), distributed and related technologies essential. The Project Manager will work closely with Technology teams to develop (existing) Capital Markets technology & will utilize vendor?s system solutions to support this (fast growing) business The Project Manager will work with Technology teams to introduce a system?that is scalable, and controlled?to provide effective workflow solutions, and effective business management and process management information.
Compensation will included base salary to $125K+, plus bonus.
Requirements:
The position requires a Sr. Project Manager with 12+ years of experience, having a solid and successful track record in ?the management and delivery of complex Capital Market and / or Derivatives business technology projects.? The position calls for leader with excellent team building and management skills. Requires excellent communication, and presentation skills and the ability to motivate and influence others, negotiate?and lead diverse and geographically dispersed teams, and management of external vendors. Bachelor?s Degree is necessary, advanced degree strongly desired.
