T-AT- Bank Teller

The right candidate will be working in the operations division of the bank as a teller. General Summary: Conduct necessary transactions for members. Act as “salesperson” for the Credit Union through direct contact with members. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Disburse withdrawals, travelers checks, money orders and cashiers checks. 2. Post loan payments and deposits received through the mail. Notify Collections Department if payment is attempted on a delinquent loan. 3.Cross-sell at a minimum one product per member. 4.Consult with Head Teller where there is doubt about a particular check, withdrawal, or other pertinent transactions. 5.Understand and comply with policies and regulations set by the Credit Union and state and federal authorities. 6.Verify a member’s address and name when conducting a transaction.. 7.Provide the membership with friendly and efficient service as to instill a courteous and professional image of the Credit Union. Qualifications: 1.Minimum of six months experience as a Teller for a financial institution to include knowledge of balancing procedures. 2.Light typing skills (25 WPM) are necessary. 3.Must be able to work quickly, efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment. 4.Calculate totals for cash and other takings at the end of each working day. 5.Must possess good judgements and strong communications skills. 6.Must be courteous and enjoy working with the memberships. 7.Professional demeanor and attire are required at all times. Education and Training: High school graduate of equivalent. All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States.
