Teller Coordinator
As a Teller Coordinator with U.S. Bank, you will: Be responsible for demonstrating excellent customer service in accordance with the U.S. Bank Service Advantage Core Values. Assist in the administration/supervision of the teller area as delegated by a supervisor or manager. Prepare work schedules; may provide input to performance reviews; may participate in new teller training or mentoring; provides ongoing training and support to other tellers; and performs teller duties. Handle more complex customer issues. Coordinate the work of other employees in the branch, makes work assignments, and checks the timeliness and quality of their work. Develop and maintain good working relationships with potential or existing customers. Have knowledge of and compliance with all laws and regulations related to processing transactions. Process deposits, withdrawals, transfer between accounts, check cashing, money orders, cashiers? checks, loan payments, and travelers? checks purchases and redemption?s, savings bonds, food coupons, treasury tax and loan payments, utility payments, night deposits. Greet customer in courteous manner providing prompt and efficient service. Be sensitive and responsive to the needs and priorities of both internal and external customers; identify and take appropriate action based on customer needs; establish effective working relationships with customers in an effort to gain their respect and loyalty. Actively search for opportunities to make suggestions to current or potential customers about other services/products that may be of interest to them. Balance cash/transactions daily. Prepare various reports on teller activities. Collect and review currency transaction sheets from all tellers and prepares currency transaction reports for the IRS. Complete monthly analysis of individual teller cash differences. Correct, clarify or settles differences or discrepancies in transactions. Perform other duties as assigned. While we expect that you?ll possess a strong basic skill set, including excellent communication and people skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team or independently, we also require: A demonstration of a proven commitment to provide excellent customer service and models skills consistent with U.S. Bank Service Advantage Core Values. A thorough knowledge of teller services, customer service/relations, banking operations, compliance, product knowledge and staffing/ recruiting. Basic Math skills. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Willingness to gain knowledge of U.S. Bank products. A high school diploma or equivalent. One to two years job related experience, including cash handling and customer service.
