Job Context (General overview of position):



The Structured Products Middle Office is responsible for capturing all derivative transactions executed by the Asset Backed, Collateralized Debt Obligation, Commercial Mortgage Backed and Structured Products trading desk. Derivative products traded by the aforementioned desks include CDS on ABS, CDS on CDOs, ABX, CMBX, Total Return Swaps, Corporate Index CDS and Options. The candidates for this role would be expected to record derivative transactions in trade capture systems in a timely and accurate manner to insure receipt and delivery of all fees and premium payments. The candidate will be expected to partner with several groups with in the firm to achieve operational excellence including, Sales Operations, Documentation, Settlements, Business Area Controlling, Business Management and Traders. The role will require the candidate to investigate and resolve inquiries related to previously recorded transaction. User acceptance testing will also be performed in this role in conjunction with the launch of a new product and system enhancements. Overtime the candidate in this role should develop a strong understanding of how derivative products are used in the world of securitization.
