We work with Business Banking Officers in 24 states to help their customer?s initiate or expand their loan relationships and help make their dreams come true.

Our Underwriters are responsible for conducting credit analyses including analyzing and interpreting all types of credit information for existing and prospective business customers in order to maximize credit and minimize risk and potential loss. Approves and/or denies loans within assigned lending authority and makes credit structure and loan pricing decisions. Counsels? bankers on the proper structuring of loans and opportunities they may have missed to help expand the customer relationship.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reviews credit information provided and obtained through credit reporting services, credit bureaus and file information and determines if additional information is needed to perform underwriting for the approval/denial of loan requests. Works closely with the Business Banking Officer to ensure the customer?s needs are being met and the appropriate credit facility is being offered. Loan Requests range from $250M to total exposure of $2.5MM Analyzes and interprets credit quality information for an existing loan portfolio or a prospective loan. Periodically reviews current accounts, noting payment progress, and reporting any developing problems to management. Good commercial credit and analytical skills and a thorough understanding of general economic theory as it relates to the lending and business environment. Thorough level of knowledge in commercial credit analysis, underwriting, administration, policy and procedure. Thorough knowledge of accounting and finance principles. Strong PC skills. Knowledge of risk analysis. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Typically requires a bachelor?s degree in business administration, finance, accounting and one or more years related financial experience.
