Underwriter
Responsible for evaluating and forming opinions for approving or denying business banking and/or commercial loan applications according to business unit standards in a timely manner. Gathers information as necessary to make sound decisions. Responds to internal and external customer inquiries. Performs other duties as necessary to support the goals and objectives of the department and business unit. Recommends exceptions based on findings. May have authority to approve loans beyond the organizations guidelines. Other duties as assigned.
Underwriter I, X20 - Typically requires a Bachelor's and 0+ years of directly related experience. Limited use and/or application of basic principles, theories, and concepts. Basic knowledge of credit, spread analysis, finance and lending procedures. PC skills required.
Underwriter II, X21 - Typically requires a Bachelor's and 2+ years of directly related experience. Full use and application of standard principles, theories, concepts, and techniques. Working knowledge of credit, spread analysis, finance and lending procedures. PC skills required.
Underwriter III, X22 - Typically requires a Bachelor's and 4+ years of directly related experience. Broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in applicable discipline, plus extensive knowledge of other related fields. Extensive knowledge of credit, spread analysis, finance and lending procedures. PC skills required.
