Underwriter - Sub-Prime

The Underwriter will be responsible for the approval process of various loans.  A thorough understanding of various product/program guidelines, necessary conditions for approval and technical/software navigation are expected to be exercised constantly and consistently to reach individual and team goals.  Our fast paced environment requires teamwork, excitement and ambition for continuing success.  Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills are key, along with problem solving and decision-making abilities. 
Responsibilities
1.  Underwriting of files.
2.  Clearing conditions.
3.  Providing strong customer service.

 

Qualifications
1.  Must possess a High School Diploma or Equivalent.

2.  Must have AT LEAST 2 years Sub-Prime and Matrix Underwriting experience.
3.  Our results-driven team requires AT LEAST 2 years of previous underwriting experience coupled with a willingness to learn.
4.  Sense of urgency and natural leadership attitude. 
5.  Must have working knowledge of DU/LP, FNMA/FHLMC and all approval guidelines.
6.  Experience with Bravura and Gallagher.
7.  Experience with Lotus notes; internet navigation; MS Word
