VP - Membership

Please note:  No relocation offered, must have community bank experience, work out of home office

 

The Organization:

 

California Bankers Association is one of the largest state banking trade associations in the country.  Its membership includes more than 300 of California?s commercial, industrial and community banks and savings associations, representing nearly 85% of all FDIC-insured financial institutions in California.  CBA leads the way in developing relevant educational and legislative solutions to some of California?s more pressing financial and banking issues.  CBA?s for profit arm is charged with generating products and services which add value to our member banks, increased business opportunities for our partners and help subsidize CBA?s initiatives. 

 

Responsibilities:

 Member Acquisition/retention: Develop and execute effective strategies to convert non-member banks and newly organized banks to full CBA membership through effective communication of member value/benefits.

 Member Enhancement: Design and set member-level strategies and tactics to deepen our relationship across all levels of the organization.  Maintain regular customer contact at the senior management level to ensure that our members are kept abreast of key industry issues, are active in our educational, event and other product offerings and understand value of CBA membership.

 Member Feedback: Work with members to understand their business challenges and recommend potential value-added services to meet their needs. Identify and provide business opportunity insights to increase strategic partnerships driving customer volume and share.

 Member Sales: Achieve revenue goals through developing and leveraging strong relationships with both partners and member banks. Develops joint marketing and promotional programs with alliance partners to ensure market success of CBA?s products. Through understanding each alliance partner goals and strategy, develop strategic and tactical marketing plan to achieve joint sales objectives. Develop strategic positioning and integration of CBA offerings with partner?s products.

 

 

Requirements:

 Undergraduate degree required, Masters preferredMinimum of 7 years experience in alliance management/business development 5+ years financial services industry experience required ? prefer commercial lending experienceAbility to work both independently and collaboratively with other internal department members as well as external partners in effort to achieve our goalsDemonstrated skills in presenting and facilitation before large and small groupsSuperior ability to establish relationships with peers, internal and external customers, and partners.Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills with internal staff and external partners at all levels.Work at a high level integrity, accountability and to think and act as a business ownerExperience managing executive level relationships.
