VP, Risk Management (41312 RP)
We are seeking a Vice President of Risk and Information Management to join our talented NYC risk management group. The Vice President will be a hands-on inspirational leader, results driven achiever, and disciplined project manager with six or more year's specialization in modeling/scoring in consumer financial services (credit cards preferred). The Vice President will also lead the development, enhancement and implementation of current and new risk and portfolio management initiatives including - new account acquisition models, credit scoring systems, underwriting, portfolio management, collections optimization models, and loan loss forecasting.
Responsibilities
Specific duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Provide thought leadership in the analysis, design and development of risk models/strategies for consumer lending products
- Design and develop innovative tools for new account acquisitions including response models, application scorecards, and credit risk models
- Design and develop tools for portfolio management including custom risk models, segmentation models, attrition models, customer profitability models, collections optimization models and loan loss forecasting models
- Work with external vendors to validate and implement third-party scoring tools
- Provide experimental design, sampling strategies and cell size determination for portfolio management tests in a champion challenger environment. Perform execution, test data collection and effects estimation for the designed tests
- Research and development of quantitative-based solutions to support business objectives
Qualifications
We are seeking someone with the following background and skills/characteristics:
- Advanced degree (M.S. or higher) in a quantitative discipline including Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research or equivalent required
- Over six years of experience with data mining, modeling, statistical and analytic techniques in consumer financial services
- Good understanding of consumer credit life cycle dynamics and indicators, and strong knowledge of credit card lending, collections and credit risk
- Ability to do hands-on analysis and handle large datasets is required; previous experience handling customer and transaction databases and data analytics for large banks or financial services companies is required
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in developing logistic regression models and decision trees to solve risk management problems is a must Experience with statistical modeling techniques like cluster analysis, survival analysis, reject inference, neural networks is a plus
- High level of proficiency with all Microsoft applications required including (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Knowledge of database and statistical analysis software including SQL / SAS / SPSS required
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and work in fast paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with other lines of business
Salary to $120,000
