VP, Senior Business Analyst
An International Bank is seeking a VP, Senior Business Analyst for its Finance Group. Required: BA/BS from top university with good honors, CPA or MBA a plus. Strong knowledge of financial accounting + associated business process. Must have worked in an Investment Banking of Capital Markets firm ideally from banks like Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, UBS, Lehman, Merrill Lynch, Citigroup. Currently in a Business Analyst role, with track record in delivering major projects through complete lifecycle, demonstrated experience of large scale project implementations involving IT, has been involved in managing change, managed many teams, experienced with senior managers, in achieving results in a project context using resources that do not directly report to him/her, has spent time with a leading consulting firm within financial services such as Deloitte, Accenture, has done analysis, design and implementation of G/L + Consolidation processes within the ERP environment, specifically, inter-company, journal processing, consolidations, F/X, suspense, period end, tax, + financial reporting. Experience leading charts of accounts design + implementation, for legal and management reporting purposes. Appreciation for Management Accounting (cost/revenue allocations, multi-dimensional profit measurement, + KPI analysis. People Soft or Oracle G/L experience is preferred. Knowledge of Equity, Fixed Income, Corporate Banking products. Appreciation for business/technical architecture. Able to write business and functional specifications. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Understands the software development process from requirements through to implementation. Strong relationship skills + worked in a client relationship role (consultant). Very strong organizational and presentation skills, knowledge of formal project management methods. Able to deal with constant change, team player able to manage conflict, sharp/inquisitive, good interpersonal, leadership + influencing skills, able to influence without authority, able to understand details, but take a big picture approach. Duties: Project Manager/Business Analyst role to lead in implementations of G/L and Consolidation projects for the Finance Function. Person will agree scope of projects with stakeholders, identify business impacts + address issues, apply business knowledge to develop solutions, translate business requirements into tangible specifications that can be acted on, Liaise with IT + FC to implement solutions, account for success of projects. Person must have deep functional knowledge of Financial Systems to be able to translate business requirements into projects which deliver change. Person will be comfortable dealing with ambiguity + is able to formulate an action plan where none exists. Person will be involved across whole project lifecycle to build/test., plus work with Product Control, IT and P+A to make changes.
