Vice President - GE Equity (CFS)

CITY: Chicago STATE: Illinois COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
GE Equity is a team of investment professionals dedicated to supporting CFS while committed to the ongoing management and underwriting of all equity investments for GE. The funds team manages and underwrites all limited partnership private equity fund investments, manages direct equity investments and assists in the underwriting on new direct equity investments.


Responsibilities of the position include:
*Manage fund and direct equity investments to ensure optimal account performance and compliance with legal agreements
*Serve as a primary contact and fund support person to one of the CFS Business Segments (will likely have dotted line reporting to respective Business Segment Leader).
*Lead an equity deal team in all aspects of fund equity transaction underwriting and risk management including: modeling, structuring, negotiating, and documenting.
*Participate in ongoing fund strategy development.
*Provide direct equity investment underwriting support to GE Equity. Direct Equity teams including underwriting pre-proposal and proposal presentations/letters, structuring, legal, and documentation
*Train and develop junior team members
*Collaborate with CFS deal teams to identify investment opportunities and facilitate exchange of information related to equity investments
*Lead or assist team members in reporting and special projects
*Identify and execute on income generation opportunities in portfolio

Qualifications/Requirements:
*Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
*Minimum 6+ years in Accounting, Financial Analysis or Portfolio Management/Underwriting
*Private Equity industry experience and experience working with financial sponsors

*Approximately 20% travel

*Ability to multi-task between special projects and ongoing account management responsibilities.
*Strong work ethic and commitment.
*MBA, FMP or GE Internal Audit.
*Six Sigma; GB Certified.
