Costa Mesa FCU is a community credit union serving businesses, employees, students, and families in the community of Costa Mesa.  We are a small to medium size credit union with a single office located in the Mesa Verde Shopping Center.

 

About the Position:

 

Costa Mesa FCU is currently looking for a Teller / Member Service Representative.  The position is part-time, Mondays ? Fridays with no weekends or evenings.  We offer pre-set hours and additional hours may be available.  We offer paid holidays and casual Friday dress attire.  Part-time staff will begin to accrue sick time and vacation time after one year of employment.  Employees are given yearly reviews with an opportunity for merit pay increases.  Educational programs are available for those who wish to participate and may be redeemed for cash rewards.  This position is ideal for students looking for part-time employment while attending school, or individuals who are looking for part-part employment due to family schedules or other obligations.

 

Requirements:

 

This position requires an individual with banking experience and/ or customer service and cash handling experience.  This individual must be accurate, dependable, and willing to learn.  In addition, this individual must have problem solving abilities, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, initiative, and great customer service.



 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

? Receives and distributes checks and cash for deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and certificates of deposits.

 

? Maintains a cash drawer, is aware of teller limits and performs transactions within these limits.

 

? Balances cash drawer and negotiable items daily.

 

? Opens new accounts, certificates of deposit, ATM/ Debit card services, and other account related products.

 

? Performs appropriate opening and closing procedures.

 

? Answers and directs telephone calls, performs phone transactions, and answers member inquiries.

 

? Other duties as assigned.
