16514 Engineer, Sr R&D

Job Description: Position focuses on product development including; project planning, innovative development, prototype designs, device testing, characterization, analysis and reporting.
Create and develop new designs for stent delivery catheter systems to address customer needs.
Work closely with Marketing, Quality, Regulatory, Process Development and Manufacturing Engineering.
Interact with marketing and physicians to develop customer requirements and relationships.
Translate customer needs into product specifications and design/refine concepts based on these requirements.
Work as part of product development team to define, develop, verify and validate new stent delivery catheter products intended for Market launch.
Present information cross-functionally as well as intra-departmentally.
Requirements:
4-year degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Materials or a related Engineering field required.
6 plus years of experience in research and/or development of products (medical devices or related field).
Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks/projects with a strong problem solving ability.
Experience with polymers is required.
Strong skills including stent delivery catheter development, stent delivery catheter characterization, test method and test-fixture design.
Ability to perform engineering analysis of stent delivery catheter properties and test data.
Strong communication skills.
