Senior Preclinical Research Associate - 16634

General Summary:
An experienced position in Pre-clinical Research, this position participates in the planning, designing and executing of high quality pre-clinical studies of BSC products. Manages the execution of multiple programs, and interfaces with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Mentors other staff members and supports basic departmental management.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Establishes and manages pre-clinical research project to support BSC product evaluations.
Develops and executes pre-clinical protocols.
Drives site qualification, training, audits, and site compliance with Good Lab Practice (GLP) when applicable.
Authors regulatory/pre-clinical submissions.
Plans and implements use of preclinical resources to support R&D teams.
Develops budget projections and facilitates site negotiations.
Responsible for oversight, maintenance, and execution of preclinical projects.
Collects, analyzes and drafts reports of pre-clinical results.
Communicates and reports pre-clinical results.
Develops expertise in assigned project areas and other related scientific disciplines.
Develops additional managerial expertise in the area of responsibilities.

Minimum Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in science or related field and 5-8 years combined experience in the medical device industry and/or academic research with animal research experience required.

Working Conditions:
General office environment, and includes approximately 30% to travel to research laboratories, meetings, and/or other BSC facilities. There is potential for exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials.

? Working knowledge of FDA, GLP regulations, SOPs and FDA Guidance guidelines

? Effective communication to superior, peer and subordinate levels
? Demonstrated leadership and self motivation; ability to motivate and guide junior staff to meet objectives
