ANALYST - LIMS, LABORATORY SYSTEMS

Coretech is a leading provider of staffing solutions to the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare industries. We are currently assisting a client in the search for a strong consultant LIMS LABORATORY SYSTEMS ANALYST.??This contract will continue in mid 2009 and is a great opportunity for the consultant who is seeking a longer term assignment in the Pearl River, NY area.

You must have a BS/BA in scientific field plus 3 years experience working in an analytical environment. Experience working with and managing laboratory information management systems (LIMS). Experience with system validation and compliance regulations. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Access. Good customer focus with strong communication skills.

IS/IT support experience including database management (Oracle, SQL Server, other) . Training in the Software Development Life Cycle methodology. Familiarity with cGMP, cGLP and cGCP standards for the pharmaceutical industry. Programming knowledge and experience (ColdFusion, .Net, VB, etc.). PC Hardware maintenance and troubleshooting.


Job Summary

The qualified individual will utilize intermediate IS/IT knowledge and analytical experience to support Clinical/Pre-Clinical labs through programming, investigating new technologies and communicating with end users/clients. The individual will work with laboratory personnel in support of laboratory applications, software and database systems. The individual will work with other IS/IT personnel and key laboratory users to assure that applications are validated and compliant with internal and external regulations. The individual will be expected to work both independently, and as a member of a team, as dictated by the particular project or activity.

Job Responsibilities



Compliance and Validation ? Assist with writing validation/test plans for new and current systems. Participate in validation/testing activities where appropriate including writing protocols and reports. Provide guidance to laboratory personnel with respect to IS/IT compliance related issues.

LIMS ? Participate in LIMS implementation and provide continued LIMS support in areas of laboratory workflow, data management, data analysis, account management, and system documentation.

Data Archiving ? Participate in data archiving implementation and provide continued support of archiving tools, including end user training, security management and documentation

Lab Systems ? Provide maintenance and end user support to current laboratory hardware, systems and databases. Manage user accounts and provide SOP?s/training/certification for current and new systems.?
