ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST – MEDICINAL CHEMISTRY

We seek a highly motivated Associate Scientist to join our medicinal chemistry department.  Key duties include the synthesis and characterization of novel chemical entities for our multi-disciplinary drug discovery programs.  Excellent laboratory records to support patent applications are a vital function of the job.

 

Working under the direction of a Scientist II, the individual will be expected to carry out synthetic reactions using modern synthetic techniques and be proficient in the purification and identification of reaction products.   Experience in small molecule drug discovery programs is essential.  The successful candidate will be expected to interact broadly within our multidisciplinary discovery team structure.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

? MS with more than 2 years, or BS with more than 5 years, of industrial research experience

? Exceptional synthetic organic chemistry and strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential

 

? The ability to work in a team-oriented, multidisciplinary environment

 

? Successful candidates will need to demonstrate a strong knowledge in organic synthesis, and medicinal chemistry and have a solid record of achievements.
