Analytical Chemistry Lab Manager

One of our clients has an immediate opening for an Analytical Chemistry Laboratory Manager to help start up and run a contract research analytical lab for bio/pharmaceutical development.

Job Requirements include:
'8+ years of experience as an analytical chemist.
'Expertise with HPLC and other instrumental analysis
'Experience managing day-to-day operations in an analytical chemistry laboratory
'Knowledge and experience with analytical method development, transfer and validation
'Knowledge of the pharmaceutical regulatory environment, including cGMP/ICH/FDA guidelines and regulations governing the development of human pharmaceuticals.
'Relevant experience in the bio/pharmaceutical field, specifically with respect to analytical development and QC operations.
'Report writing, presentation and/or consultation as necessary to meet client project needs.
'Customer service experience with a belief in serving the client with high quality, creativity and adaptability.

The successful candidate will be able to initiate and run projects independently and will have excellent written and oral communication skills. Having prior experience managing lab staff and/or providing analytical services to a variety of clients is a plus. Ability to select and purchase equipment and consumables and manage a budget is also desired.

This position requires a BS or higher degree in analytical chemistry or related physical science.

This is a direct hire opportunity through Kelly Scientific Resources and offers a full benefits package with a salary range of $70-90K/year for 40 hrs/wk schedule depending upon experience level. However, a flexible schedule with reduced hours (i.e., position starts at part-time) could be an option.
