Analytical Development Intern

Tanox is seeking a highly motivated individual for an internship position in the Analytical Development department.  The responsibilities for this position include: 1) perform routine sample/buffer preparations and analytical testing, and assist with data analysis; 2) Manage GMP laboratory testing paper work and documentation; and 3) Manage the inventory and ordering of common laboratory supplies.

 

The candidates are expected to possess a BS or MS degree in biochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering or a closely related field with up to 2 years of experience.  Some laboratory experience in research or development would be highly desirable.  A sound understanding of general biochemistry/chemistry principles in particular protein and peptide is essential.  Experience working with chromatography and/or analytical instrumentation is preferred.

 

The candidate should be a self-starter with positive can-do attitude.  He/she should possess excellent communication (both verbal and written), organization and interpersonal skills.  The candidate should appreciate and can work in a culturally diverse working environment.
