Assay Development Scientist
Assay Development Scientist
Brendan Technologies, Inc., a biotech software company that develops and markets laboratory testing software, seeks an individual knowledgeable and experienced in immunoassays and cell based bioassays.
This individual should have a good understanding of curve fitting, statistics, and general data reduction methods used by these technologies. A good understanding of 21 CFR Part 11 and other pharmaceutical regulatory requirements is also desired.
Responsibilities:Generating and maintaining, with the mathematics and programming groups, the 3technical requirements for the data computation, data management, and laboratory configuration software needs for the pharmaceutical, diagnostic, research and instrument manufacturer markets.Regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical, clinical diagnostic, and USDA industries as they relate to the company?s products and their use.Conducting statistical and computational studies, with the mathematics and programming groups, on behavioral characteristics of test data.Writing monographs on data reduction principles, procedures, and study results.Participating in scientific, regulatory, and other committees and conferences.Part of customer support triage as data interpretation resource.
Requirements:Graduate degree in biology/biochemistry or biostatistics, prefer Ph.D.5 years laboratory experience with immunoassays or bioassays (cell based bioassay experience desired).3 years laboratory experience in pharmaceutical industry.Excellent writing skills.
