Assistant Process Manager I

We are currently seeking an Assistant Process Manager.  Under the supervision of a Process Manager, this position will support the development of commercial manufacturing processes and the supply of developmental pharmaceutical compounds for clinical trials.  Responsibilities will include performing laboratory experiments, scaling up and fitting processes into the Pilot Plant, and supervising pilot and clinical supply campaigns. 

 

The successful candidate will work as a member of a team composed of engineers, synthetic and analytical chemists and other support functions to develop chemical processes meeting all requirements for commercial production of active pharmaceutical ingredients. The position will collect and interpret laboratory process data and apply engineering principles to the scale-up of processes into the Pilot Plant.  Additionally, this position will solve process production problems, prepare process flow diagrams and prepare written operating procedures, safety reviews and plant automation recipes.

 

A BS in Chemical Engineering with 3-5 years of experience or a MS in Chemical Engineering with 0-2 years of experience is required.  A BS in Chemical Engineering with 6-8 years of experience in pharmaceuticals or fine chemicals is preferred. Good written and verbal communication skills are critical. Candidates must have the ability to work effectively in a team environment and successfully communicate across multiple disciplines within the organization.  Special training or competence in understanding investigative techniques, FDA regulatory requirements, cGMP and Chemical Technology is preferred.
