Assistant Scientist - QC Final Product (Sundays -Thursdays)

Major Job Functions and Responsibilities:

 

This position is responsible for the testing of MicroScan final product.  This includes panel set-up, preparing and retrieving QC information from the MicroScan WalkAway system, and handling microorganisms.  Responsibilities include recording and analyzing data versus specifications and assisting in troubleshooting failures.  Responsibilities also include reviewing QC test packets and implementing process improvements.  

 

Skills/Qualifications Required:

 
BS Life Sciences / Microbiology / Biochemistry or equivalent experience in a related field required.
Minimum 3-5 years experience with product testing and / or manufacturing processes.
Working knowledge of MicroScan products, knowledge of manufacturing processes, and WalkAway functionality.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Must work effectively in a team environment and possess good interpersonal skills.
Applicant should be familiar with Word for Windows and Excel and have excellent problem solving abilities.
