We are seeking an enthusiastic Associate Clinical Data Specialist to join the team in our Durham, NC office.

As an Associate Clinical Data Specialist, the ideal candidate will provide experienced comprehensive skills as a part of a Clinical Data Management team to provide efficient, quality data management products that meet customer needs. Provide leadership to the team in the area of Data Management Plan Development as Lead Data Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Accountabilities, including financial/ staff/ material data as appropriate, and Primary Tasks):
-Will serve as Lead Data Manager representing the CDM team on the corporate project team.
-Perform and/or initiate comprehensive data management tasks, pertaining to the Data Management Plan.
-Perform and/or initiate comprehensive quality control procedures.
-Provide data management expertise and data coordination process improvement to CDM department.
-Mentor other team members in training and developing data management expertise.
-Independently bring project solutions to the CDM team and the CDM Department.
-May assist in developing and implementing new technology.
-Provide Data Management with technical expertise.
-May assist in developing, revising, and maintaining core operating procedures and working instructions.
-Understand and comply with core operating procedures and working instructions.
-Perform other duties as directed by the Functional Manager.
-Meet objectives as assigned.
-Develop and maintain good communications and working relationships with CDM team.
-Will interact with corporate team and CDM team members to negotiate timelines and responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS (education level / specific work history experience):
-Bachelor's degree (scientific or clinical degree) preferred or nursing qualification with 4-7 years relevant experience.
-Extensive experience (circa 2 years) as a Senior Clinical Data Coordinator or relevant external experience will be considered as an alternative to formal educational
qualifications.
-Solid experience and understanding of clinical drug development process, organizational, communication, and data management skills.
-Must be detail oriented.
