Associate Director/Director, Medical Communication & Education

POSITION SUMMARY: This person will be responsible for all activities as it relates to publications, CME, scientific communications and medical education for the oncology business for this pharmaceutical company.

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:Development and execution of a comprehensive Publication Plan including strategy development

?Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a robust communication and education plan that meets the objectives of the organization.?

?Work with accrediting organizations, third party vendors and medical education companies to design and implement medical education activities and assure that the company's sponsored programs meet the standards as set forth by the accrediting body

?Work with communications companies and key investigators in the design and implementation of publications.?

?Ensure flawless execution of programs including logistics, regulations, etc.

?Identify and gain agreement on medical education topics that align to the strategic plan

?Manage appropriate budgets

?Manage multiple medical education and communication vendors ensuring high quality standards

?Provide scientifically sound constructive feedback

?Develop and demonstrate a working knowledge of company's products, research and strategies in therapeutic areas of interests

?MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

?Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred7+ years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, 3+ in medical educationThorough understanding of CME/CE process and compliance guidelinesManagement experience preferredStrategic Thinking and Analytical skillsStrong oral and written communication
