Associate Director, New Product Planning

In this position, you will provide commercial input and guidance to development strategies for exenatide nasal as well as cardiovascular products in the Amylin portfolio to maximize commercial value and ROI of product candidates. 

 

Responsibilities include:Heavy support of exenatide molecule Life Cycle Planning effortsWork with internal groups on project teams to evaluate new product opportunitiesCoordinating market research, developing patient-based forecasts, and gathering competitive intelligenceIntegrating corporate strategic plans and product lifecycle plans and present recommendations to senior management and portfolio management committees for approvalLeading the commercial efforts for exenatide nasal and other products as required by creating and implementing market development strategies and tactics

 

We require an undergraduate degree, preferably with a life science emphasis. An MBA or other advanced degree is also preferred.  Other requirements include five to seven years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry experience with at least 2-3 years of in-line marketing experience. Two to three years of New Product Planning and/or Strategic Planning experience and knowledge of the metabolic disease space strongly preferred.  Sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry, experience with financial modeling, and portfolio management experience are also preferred. This position requires 30% -40% travel.
