Associate Director - Research & Development

Must be a highly motivated and must possess documented educational and administrative abilities. Will help direct research and development efforts in the field of in vitro allergy diagnosis. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated experience in conducting studies on purification and immunochemical characterization of allergens. Comprehensive knowledge on various allergenic determinants and experience in conducting allergen cross-reactivity studies is required. Must have demonstrated ability to develop/assess in vitro allergen Specific IgE assays. Expertise in the area of protein modification is desired.

This includes i) assisting in the setting of appropriate departmental goals, timetables and expectations; ii) monitoring the focus / activities of departmental personnel; and iii) reviewing departmental performance related issues.

????????? Assists to represent departmental interests both within and outside the departmental boundaries.

????????? Independently employs a broad knowledge of scientific principles, practices, and procedures to plan, design, and conduct research and present findings.

????????? Provides the appropriate instruction to staff in order to carry out novel or complex assignments requiring new / improved techniques and procedures.

????????? Develops strategic and tactical plans to accomplish departmental goals.

Qualifications.PhD with at least ?7 years of experience or Master's degree with at least 10 years of experience in the field of Allergy.

????????? Able to coordinate complex efforts within the departmental team as well as with groups upon whose efforts the team depends.

????????? Has proven ability to determine experimental timelines, meet milestones within the process and propose possible resolutions to departmental issues.

????????? Demonstrated ability in technical proficiency, scientific creativity and independent thought.

????????? Ability to understand current scientific literature and industry trends.

????????? Comprehensive knowledge of scientific and/or mathematical concepts/theories.? Able to integrate relevant theories and/or concepts to solve problems in project development.

????????? Ability to utilize/maintain advanced scientific equipment and facilities.

????????? Ability to develop scientific reports and manuscripts based on original research.

????????? Skill in educating others in research methods and techniques.
