Associate Engineer-Product Development

Integra LifeSciences is a leader in applying the principles of tissue regeneration to the development of medical products for neurosurgery and reconstructive surgery. Our Morgan Lane Manufacturing Plant has an opening for a dynamic recent graduate in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or Materials Science to work with our Process and Product Development Team. 



Reporting to one of our Senior Process Engineers, this position will participate in a team effort in the development of new products from concept phase through launch, following GLP and Design Control Procedures. You will also work on improving current products manufactured at our site.

 

Under the direction of the area manager, responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Performing physical characterization of prototype materials, Participating in the development and validation of new physical and chemical assay.Collecting data and maintain the integrity of databases.Participating in the planning and execution of experiments based on Design of Experiments; Use of statistical analysis software packages.Troubleshooting technical issues encountered during physical and chemical characterization.Assisting in completion of documentation for Design Controls as defined by Integra SOPs and Regulatory organizationsMay  participate in customer audits, FDA inspections, and ISO Certification audits Performing all other related duties required.

 

Education, Skills and Experience:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.Bachelor?s degree in a Science or Chemical/Biomaterials Engineering 0-3 years experience within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry is preferred. Excellent computer skills including Word, advanced Excel; Statistical software experience helpful Demonstrate excellent organizational skills in collecting data and maintaining a database Demonstrated excellent communication skills in summarizing data and communication results to the product development team.
