Associate, Formulation Development

GENERAL SUMMARY

 

This position will be responsible for assisting in the development of formulations for protein therapeutics and in studying compatibility and delivery problems for biologicals.

1.

 

Assists in the development of formulations for biological molecules

2.

 

Knowledge of and operation of analytical instrumentation including:  HPLC, Electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE and IEF), Spectrophotometer, Fluorimeter, DSC, HIAC, DLS, pH meter, Conductivity Meter and Osmometer.

Freeze Dryer Operation

4.

 

Buffer preparation

5.

 

Data entry

6.

 

Perform routine assays to test the chemical stability of proteins in relation to excipients and storage conditions

7.

 

Assay development and trouble shooting

8.

 

Assist in the development final drug dosage forms

9.

 

Maintain Laboratory and Laboratory Records

10.

 

Work in a safe manor compliant to ImClone Systems Incorporated policies and procedures

 

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE,

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

 



1.

 

BS with 2-6 years of experience, MS 1-4 with years of experience

2.

 

Knowledge of the use of and experience with spectrophotometry, electrophoresis, HPLC,  microcalorimetry and light scattering techniques.
