Associate Scientist I
Associate Scientist I?San Diego, CA
EMD Biosciences, Inc., a worldwide supplier of life science reagents to the biotech research community, is currently seeking an Associate Scientist I. This position is entry level and will be responsible for manufacturing and testing products in the immunochemical product line. Additional responsibilities include: 1.The knowledge and techniques necessary to prepare buffer preparation, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, ELISA, antibody purification/conjugation and mammalian cell culture. 2. Perform all ERP software functions necessary to support the manufacturing of products. 3. Participate in inventory control functions (cycle counts) and assist in writing and/or revising SOP?s and work instructions.
The successful candidate will have a BS or BA in Life Science or any related field. An Associate Degree or Biotech Technician Certificate will be considered with industry experience.
Additional requirements include manipulation of small objects, able to lift 20 lbs., perform repetitive pipetting motions, and able to stand on feet for extended periods of time.
