BS/MS Research Associate - DRUG DISCOVERY

Requisition Number: 16154BR



Will be responsible for measuring the activity of proprietary compounds on ion channels in a medium throughput screen to provide key data in support of multiple therapeutic drug discovery efforts. Duties will include conducting cell based assays to measure hERG channel activity, data analysis, rigorous documentation of research and the maintenance of cell lines used for experiments.

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
BS/MS in Biology, Cell Biology, or other Life Sciences.
2 + years experience with cell culture and multi-well cell based assays.
Experience with whole cell patch clamp recording and familiarity with ion channel function considered a plus.
Ability to proactively identify and solve technical issues.
Good verbal and written communication skills and competence with Excel, MS WORD, Prism are also desired.
