BS/MS Research Associate - Oncology Drug Discovery Research

The selected incumbent will assume responsibilities for conducting studies in the area of anti-tumor drug discovery:
Supporting the preclinical evaluation of drug candidates
Implement and develop biochemical and cell-based assays.
Screen compounds for potential therapeutic drugs and document, compile and analyze data
Biological validation of drug targets such as, RNAi gene silencing technique and quantitative RT-PCR analysis, etc.
Mechanistic study of drug action

Qualifications
BS degree or MS degree in Biochemistry or Molecular Biology
and 3-5 years relevant research experience. Experience needs to include:
Expertise in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology and cell culture
Should be able to design and execute experiments independently
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint software

Familiarity with enzymology and/or protein expression in baculovirus and/or mammalian cell system is a plus. Familiarity with high throughput methods or automated liquid handling systems is also a plus.
