Biosciences Specialist ? Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky

 

EMD Biosciences, Inc., a worldwide supplier of life science reagents to the biotech research community, is currently seeking a Biosciences Specialist who will be primarily responsible for developing the sales and account base of the assigned EMD Biosciences product lines within the Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky territory. This position demands an in-depth knowledge of the assigned product lines, with an emphasis on precise product knowledge that enhances the ability to technically assist the customer (and distributor) with certain laboratory applications and methods. Must be proficient in relationship building through networking and referrals as well as exercising strong selling, negotiating and proactive customer support skills.  The ability to self-manage time and to prioritize projects will be very important. 

 

The successful candidate will have a BS and/or MS in Life Sciences; PhD preferred.  Must have 2-5 years of laboratory experience in a life science setting; 2-5 years sales experience with a life science reagent product line is highly desirable. Key account and territory management experience with academic, medical school, industrial, and where applicable, government accounts is desirable. 2-3 years experience working with distribution, experience with VWR preferred.
