Manufacturing Operations: Purification OR Cell Culture

Position Summary: Perform actual duties in assigned areas within the production facility to produce biopharmaceutical bulk products. Duties include: cleaning, weighing and mixing, and process monitoring. Equipment operated includes: bioreactors, filtration devices, chromatography equipment, ultrafilters, washers and autoclaves. Incumbent will be trained in one of three areas: fermentation, purification, support services.

Position Responsibilities: 1. Prepare and operate equipment according to written instructions. Including: Set-up and sterilization of components and process equipment, monitor and adjust equipment operations, and sample processes and perform routine assays. 2. Record data, logs activities, and monitors processes. 3. Clean and assemble equipment and maintains clean working environment 4. Along with safety and maintenance problems, communicate status of operations in a timely manner to management 5. Comply with cGMP requirements.REQUIREMENTS

Position Requirements: 1. BA/BS in Biology, Chemistry, or related discipline, or equivalent experience 2. Ability to understand technical nomenclature and language and to work with mathematical formulas 3. Must have good manual dexterity and demonstrated mechanical aptitude 4. Must be able to follow detailed instructions and record information clearly and accurately 5. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills 6. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in aseptic processing techniques

Operator Salary Range: 40-55K (DOE)plus OVERTIME. Shift Differential and 4 day work week!
