Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager is responsible for discovering and developing strategic, dynamic client partnerships.  As a visual and public representative, it is critical to achieve the extension of exemplary customer service to continuously drive long-lasting collaborative partnerships within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Further, it is the overall responsibility of the Business Development Manager to provide industry driven feedback and environmental information in order to align management with the ability to execute strategic management decisions and placing at a competitive advantage within the marketplace.
Responsibilities: 
? Enhance client partnerships with existing clients
? Develop new client relationships through ?cold calling? and sales calls

? Generate new proposal opportunities and expand the ICTI existing base of business

? Deliver service and capabilities presentations to clients


? Deliver protocol specific presentations to clients


? Negotiate proposal timelines and budgets


? Attend trade shows within the budget


? Perform client surveys on regular basis (performance analysis)


? Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management

 

 
 ? Bachelor?s degree (Business Management, Finance and/or Life Sciences)
 
 ? 1-3 years of sales and marketing experience
 
 ? Proven cold calling, prospecting, and new client development success
 
 ? Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
 
 ? Strong negotiation skills
 
 ? Strong organizational skills

 ? Ability to operate in project team environment
 
 ? Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
 
 ? Obtain competitor insight within industry to provide management with information to formulate strategic decisions
? Obtain market trends in order to provide management with information to formulate strategic decisions to place at competitive advantage within the industry

? Travel in the field 25% of the time depending upon season and trade shows
