Business Intelligence Manager

Provides technical leadership to create and deliver Business Intelligence (BI) capability within Tissue Management, to include both operational and analytical reporting of key business drivers and performance indicator monitoring.?

Manages and executes the development, deployment, and maintenance of standard and ad-hoc BI Management reporting with delivery to entitled users.???????

Provides technical and business advice and design concepts for the build of a new BI architectural platform to support the creation of reporting data marts.????

?

Ensure that the BI platform will be integrated within multiple business units in order to utilize and leverage existing customer information and business practices.? The BI platform will provide intelligent next step reporting processes, based upon rules-based decisions or transaction-based activities.

Interface closely with IT and Business Clients to convert raw data into actionable intelligence.

II. Principal Accountabilities

?

1. Manage the usage, enhancement, and development of reporting database/data marts to ensure accurate customer information exists within our customer database to monitor, identify, and enhance new sales and revenue opportunities.

2. Identify and develop business-identified data source retrieval for the build and tracking of key performance indicators within new reporting data marts.

3. Develop, code, and test business logic to define and deliver concise and consolidated performance management reporting based upon the integration of multiple and diverse data system applications.??

4. Serve as internal business and database consultant.

5. Support Tissue Management by providing pertinent performance and marketing-related information.

6. Provide direction in implementing planned and unplanned changes to customer and reporting databases.

7. Development and maintenance of business unit forecasting ERP models & processes.

8. Manage Business Intelligence warehouse rules, monthly ETL feeds, data cleansing, and extracts for CRM system.

9. Complete other related duties as assigned.?

III. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

?

This position requires an individual with:

?

1. Minimum of seven years proven and progressive business, reporting, and/or database management experience or equivalent, including campaign, decision technology, and sales tracking.

2. Minimum of a bachelor?s degree in marketing, business, mathematics, statistics, operations research, or related field of quantitative discipline. Masters or MBA preferred.

3. Advanced proficiency and experience with query and knowledge-based software to include SAS, SQL, and industry standard reporting tools (Business Objects, Cognos, TM/1) as well as Geographic Information Systems (ESRI). Proficient with MS-Windows/Office Suite

4. In-depth knowledge of database development and testing, including data hierarchy, data infrastructure, and ETL methodology to support development of reporting data marts.

5. Strong communications and consulting skills, analytical, organizational, interpersonal and decision-making skills.

6. High level of proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent mainframe systems and software packages or equivalent, including experience in handling large databases.

7. Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical and project management skills.

8. Ability to advocate and champion new business processes and re-engineer existing practices.

9. Supervisory / managerial skills preferred, or a potential to manage / supervise employees

10. In-depth knowledge of syndicated pharmaceutical data sources such IMS, NDC, and Verispan?
