Buyer - Med Device

Buyer - Med Device Description: We are looking for an experienced buyer in for a client in Lake Forest, this is a temp to hire opportunity.
Assure the availability of direct materials to support production schedules and customer service requirements while maintaining optimum inventory levels by analyzing the MRP system for assigned product lines and executing all appropriate transactions with suppliers and customers.
Create, move in and cancel all work orders as needed for production.
Interface with internal customers and outside suppliers to resolve quality issues.
Work with accounts payable to clear up any invoice questions obtain the best prices and services possible from suppliers.
Hold production meetings with each production group to discuss issues, assign task and share resolutions.
Support the Materials Supervisor in all areas and activities within the department.





Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in planning/buying in a manufacturing environment utilizing a computer MRP system
SAP computer skills a plus.
Knowledge in APICS and/or CPM certification preferred.
