CONJUGATION SUPERVISOR  

 

Requirements:

 

?  BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology or Engineering.

?  Experience in the conjugation of monoclonal antibodies by appropriate techniques:  PE, APC and FITC, among others.

?  Knowledge of the operation of related instrumentation such as Mixing, HPLC, pH Meters, microscopes, Spectrophotometer, Flow Cytometers, Conductivity, Bypass Columns, Centrifuges, and I&F (Isoelectric Focusing).

?  Supervisory experience.

?  Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish)

?  Willing to travel to US mainland and offshore.

?  6 years experience or equivalent.

 

 Duties:  

 

?  Provides supervision to Conjugation associates with responsibilities for Conjugation department including but not limited to:  processes, costs, methods, safety, operating plans, and employee results.

?  Ensures adherence to manufacturing schedule and maintaining detailed production records.

?  Ensures cleaning, inspection, maintenance and calibration of equipment, according to schedule.

?  Ensures adequate resources are provided and are utilized in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.

?  Identifies and implements changes by updating manufacturing processes that support cost reduction and/or quality enhancements.

?  Assures finished products conform to internal and government regulations and ISO standards.

?  Assures that material movement transactions are executed in SAP system.

?  Develops and revised (SOP?S).

?  Leads Continuous Improvement Projects applying the Six Sigma tools for problem solving.

?  Support process validation efforts.

?  Investigates deviations.

?  Executes assigned responsibilities related to hiring, job assignments, terminations, transfers, promotions, employee relations, performance management, salary actions and employee motivation.

?  Responsible for Employee Training and Development.

?  Keeps abreast of US and non-US regulations affecting own area of supervision/ management.

?  Ensures Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) training, policies and procedures are followed through.
