Our U.S. Generics Division is currently searching for a Capital Projects Procurement and Contracts Manager to work in Totowa, New Jersey, who will identify, implement and deliver procurement and management solutions with the goal of positively impacting Actavis? total project cost.

 

Responsibilities

1.  Identify, develop and roll out standard contracts for engineering and construction of capital projects

2.  Provide life cycle administration for the contracts

3.  Develop preferred contractors agreements for engineering, construction and equipment f

4.  Lead negotiations for capital projects contracts

5.  Develop, implement and apply contractor and vendor assessment techniques and performance metrics and manage contractor and vendor relationships for the life of the contract

6.  Provide support to the project managers on capital projects 

7.  Develop standard procurement policies for capital procurement and liaise with global procurement function to ensure compliance with global policies

8.  Lead efforts to deliver and record benefits in capital projects programs

9.  Provide support to site project engineers and project managers to identify the best contract strategy for the execution of projects

10. Assist site project engineers and project managers to develop and issue RFPs and evaluate proposals

11. Ensure compliance with contract terms throughout project life cycle

12. Evaluate and select optimum number of vendors providing capital equipment to various sites ensuring timely delivery of equipment, compliance with cGMP and EHS standards

13. Lead/Support 6 Sigma/Lean projects to improve capital procurement performance

14. Ensure sites comply with applicable capital procurement internal policies

15. Review capital projects before submission for approval

16. Provide tactical management of key capital equipment suppliers

17. Report performance metrics within the required timescales

18. Achieve best possible commercial terms within a robust framework in relation to Actavis? developing business needs and goals

Requirements

1. Bachelors degree (Purchasing or Business related degree or similar qualification

2. Formal qualification in purchasing

3. 10 plus years experience with capital projects purchasing

4. 5 + years experience in project engineering

5. 10 + years experience with engineering and construction contract development and negotiations

6. Travel within the US will be required

8. Ability to analyse, manipulate and interpret information in varying formats
