Job Description for Cell Culture Biologist

 

Requirements: This position requires a B.Sc. Degree in Chemistry, Biology or related area with 4-6 years of working experience in a cGMP clinical production environment. The primary responsibility is mammalian cell culture for biotherapeutics (bioproducts), including static culture, spinner, Wave and stirred tank bioreactor culture conditions and equipment.

 

The individual will author and review cGMP documentation including raw material specifications, SOP?s and production batch records.  Additional responsibilities include raw material management, writing production reports, maintaining experimental information in databases and assisting with equipment qualifications (FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ).  Strong work ethic, good oral and written communication skills, effectiveness in a team environment, ability to work flexible hours to meet aggressive timelines, knowledge of cGMP and compliance are also required.  Large scale (> 100L) stirred tank and Wave bioreactor and process development experience and a strong desire to learn are encouraged.
