Component Prep Attendant

Responsibilities:

Principle Responsibilities:

*  Performs various repetitive component and equipment washing / staging for sterilization.

*  Wash required supplies of stoppers, lined seals and over seals as well as tanks and miscellaneous equipment.

*  Loads components and equipment into the appropriate washers according to the validated loading instructions and operates the washing equipment.

*  Load autoclaves according to validated loading patterns.  Operate and monitor the sterilization cycles and dry heat oven.

*  Surface sanitize/sterilize equipment, supplies and tools required for class 100 use.

*  Inspect, clean and assemble equipment for filling, including surge tanks, pumps, manifolds, nozzles, and associated tubing and fittings. 

*  Prepare and integrity test all filters used in production.

*  Account for remaining solutions after production runs and dispose of hazardous waste.

*  Perform equipment rinse water testing utilizing a Spectrophotometer.

*  Set up, clean and adjust video jet coder and set up and adjust rails for different size finished sealed vials on the catching line.

*  Perform the catching operation by traying the vials from the line and placing them into their appropriate bulk box, sterilization truck or pallet.

*  Troubleshoots problems in specified areas as required.

*  Performs repetitive mechanical assembly during Spike Assembly.

*  Requisition and maintain accountability and inventory accuracy of components and materials required to meet the production schedule.

*  Complete documentation, status labeling and logbooks.

*  Verifies and maintains a record of material that moves through Component Preparation.

*  Requisition and stock gowning materials for class 10,000 clean room areas.

*  Required to wear clean room, class 10,000 and class 100 gowning, consisting of coveralls or frocks, hair cover, gloves, masks, goggles, boots and safety shoes.

*  Assist Process Machine Operator with the loading of glass into the vial washers.

*  Work in other areas as required.

 

 Requirements:

*  High School education or equivalent

*  Previous pharmaceutical experience is preferred

*  One to two months on-the-job training.

*  Ability to read and write English, and follow written and oral instructions

*  Basic math skills.

*  Ability to comprehend machinery processes and troubleshoot problems as they occur. 

*  Ability to organize numerous tasks into prioritized sequences
