Verseon is seeking highly talented and motivated algorithm developers who answer yes to all of the above questions.

Candidates should have solid research credentials in theoretical or applied sciences such as chemistry, physics, applied math, electrical engineering, or computer science. The candidate must also possess exceptional problem solving ability, strong programming skills and have a proven track record of intellectual achievement.

Possible relevant research experience would include one or more of - high-dimension global opimization methods; molecular dynamics; monte carlo simulations; simulated annealing; evolutionary or dynamic programming; statistical mechanics; multi-variate statistics and data analysis - in the context of atomic or molecular or particulate modeling.


Minimum requirements:

M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, Applied Math, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related field.
Minimum of 2-3 yrs of relevant work experience in industry.Post-doctoral researchers with a proven background will also be considered.
Must be proficient with C++ with strong knowledge of STL, Boost, and other libraries.
Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as shell scripting / Python / Perl.
Knowledge of Matlab a plus.
Knowledge of statistical packages such as R or S-plus is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
An open mind with the courage to question conventional thinking and take on challenges.


Job Description:

As a member of the core R&D team you will be a part of a highly collaborative and fast-paced, multi-disciplinary research environment. Your duties will include the design, implementation, and testing of key software components of Verseon's proprietary drug discovery platform. Your focus will be on new and challenging innovations in the areas of molecular modeling, protein-ligand binding affinity estimation, and the semi-classical approximation of molecular interactions in the context of biomolecular simulations. You will have access to high performance computing environment. You will be expected to code proficiently in C++ (using STL and object oriented complex constructs) and be proficient with Linux /Unix toolsets.
