Computer-Aided Drug Designer

To enhance the Novartis drug discovery process through the use of computational chemistry. You wlll be able to select and use the right techniques to help medicinal chemistry teams to understand and quantify their SAR. You will be able to partner with chemists to assist in the design and prioritisation of synthetic targets. With experience, you will be able to identify gaps in current approaches, and devise innovative solutions. Qualifications
Solid grounding in Organic chemistry. Advanced knowledge of one or more modelling packages (e.g. Accelrys, Tripos, MOE). Track record of successful ligand design using computational chemistry. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Good team working skills. Previous experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment preferred.
