Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc., a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for a Contract Manager located in Raritan, NJ or Rochester, NY. Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc. provides in vitro diagnostic products to hospital, commercial and clinical laboratories, and blood donor centers. Its products include reagents and instrument systems used in blood typing and donor testing; clinical chemistry determinations and immunoassays for disease diagnosis and therapy management; as well as RhoGAM?, an injectable drug used to prevent hemolytic disease of the newborn. The Contract Manager will assist OCD Sales in gathering account information for the development of offers and/or customer contracts. Participate as a member of the account team in account strategy development. Develop and revise customer contracts based on requirements as stated by Sales. Customize and develop terms and conditions, contract cover, etc. with input from Sales, within the parameters of business and pricing policies and approved exceptions. Review and track exceptions to business and pricing guidelines with Sales and takes ownership for obtaining necessary approvals, within agreed upon timeframes, from Marketing, Finance, Legal, Compliance, etc. Explore alternatives to exceptions. Document all exceptions. Track status of offers and contracts throughout the various stages of the process (Sales review, changes, how often they occur, customer acceptance, rejection of offer, etc.) to measure process performance and cycle times. Document rationale for all offer/contract activity and outcome. Generate contract, and/or contract amendments for Sales to present to customer within agreed turnaround times. Coordinate, cross functionally, the administrative execution of customer contracts per the terms of the contract. (Customer training, distribution, pricing, service coverage, non-OCD items, etc.) Monitor, throughout the life cycle of each contract, OCD and customer compliance to terms of contract against actual purchases, including but not limited to volume/market share commitments, contract buyout and default requests, equipment removals, any modification to catalogue numbers, product offerings, or descriptions, contract closure, contract expiration, etc. Ensure follow-up with Sales, document appropriate actions and outcomes, and provide support to OCD Sales decisions. Prepare response to all state, local, and government bids. Adequately support all internal and external audits to meet requirements of the audit process. Ensure department procedures are followed and maintained in accordance to ISO standards. Participate in and provide support to process improvement and special projects. Ensure compliance with government regulations (HCC/GCC/FDA and state and local). Additional responsibilities include: repetitive data entry, some filing, significant phone contact and some lifting.
A High School degree is required. A Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Marketing is preferred, and/or equivalent related experience. A minimum of 3 years experience in contracting, analysis, marketing, or sales is required. Understanding and experience in Government Contracting and Health Care compliance is preferred. Compliance experience with government regulations (HCC/GCC/FDA and state and local) is preferred. Ability to learn and demonstrate working knowledge of contracting systems and how they interface with other systems throughout the company where related to contract management and reporting is preferred. This position requires strong skills in attention to detail, resourcefulness, and follow through in the development of customer offers through addressing customer issues in a timely manner. Individual must be able to work both independently and in a team setting. Strong communication skills both verbal and written are required in this position. Individuals must demonstrate the ability to communicate via telephone, e-mail, and phone mail to internal and external customers on a daily basis ensuring customer satisfaction. Demonstrated ability to follow established procedures as written is required. Domestic travel is required approximately 6-8 (10%) times per year. This position will be located in Raritan, NJ or Rochester, NY.
