Contracts and Finance Manager, Pharmaceutical Firm

International Pharmaceutical company located in NJ seeks Contracts and Finance Manager with prior exp. in pharmaceutical Ind. This position will be responsible for managing all contractual agreements and relationships with vendors for the Company's Product Development Group (PDG). Additionally, the position is responsible for management of all PDG finances; including the tracking and reporting of the PDG's department budget and each clinical program budget.



Job functions are

1) Ensures compliance; by supporting negotiation for legal agreements, including document review and evaluation; by facilitating agreement on contract language, in conjunction with external legal counsel as required; by facilitating internal authorization for legal agreements; by tracking, logging, filing, renewal, and archiving of legal agreements; by performing compliance check of legal agreements; by interfacing with external legal counsel; and by ensuring financial compliance including involvement in financial planning, payment and invoice tracking.

2) Oversees contractual agreements; by providing, coordinating and maintaining a standardized and consistent approach to study and vendor contracts, grants, and budgets across all products and clinical programs; by developing and maintaining tracking mechanisms and systems for legal agreement, budget, and financial documentation across all products and clinical programs; by participating in and facilitating the selection of outside vendors such as CROs, central laboratories, contract personnel, etc. for clinical research projects, including appropriate contract documents and budget negotiations; by managing clinical research legal agreements including appropriate contract documents and budget negotiations; by managing clinical research legal agreements including confidentiality agreements, consulting agreement, master service agreements, investigator site agreements, etc.; by supporting project teams as needed to facilitate vendor selection by preparing requests for proposal (RFPs) and obtaining and evaluating proposals from potential vendors; by supporting project teams as needed to develop project budges and facilitating internal budget approval b preparing and processing necessary documentation; by maintaining current knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines affecting the conduct of clinical studies.



Successful candidates should have

BA degree and 4-7yrs work exp. in pharmaceutical industry in contracts management and/or financial control area.
