Cross-Functional Project Manager - Biopharma

Job Description: The Project Manager will oversee, manage and coordinate cross-functional aspects of drug discovery and development projects and serve as a liaison between the project team, consultants, external CROs, key functional heads and senior management.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
He or she will provide project management organization and coordination for several drug discovery/development programs. In this position, the candidate will proactively develop and implement processes to provide information to enable informed decision making within teams. This will include creating and overseeing project timelines and budgets, managing competing timelines and prioritizing critical tasks. The manager will interface with the finance function of the company to run development scenarios and create and monitor research and development budgets. The project manager will also be involved in the preparation of and participation in external partnering activities.

The successful candidate will track project status and communicate it to project team members and senior management. He or she will interact with other team members, including consultants and external vendors, to maintain functional continuity and progress in the areas of discovery, toxicology/ADME, CMC, clinical, QA and regulatory.

The manager will proactively identify key short and long-term project issues, and develop solutions by liaising with management, department heads and team leaders.

Job Requirements:
Ph.D. in a scientific discipline
5+ years project management experience including extensive familiarity with the CMC and clinical aspects of drug development
Experience with small molecule discovery and development process
IND experience necessary; NDA experience preferred
Proven ability to think strategically across functions, including all aspects of pharmaceutical development, and be able to communicate clearly and accurately internally and externally.

Compensation:  $110,000+ (commensurate with experience, salary is very flexible)
