Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for management of data analysis services to research and product development departments in the development of new DNA microarray applications. The environment is fast-paced and exciting, with many opportunities to have significant impact on the performance and development speed of cutting-edge new applications. This will require the ability to quickly review project requirements, assess technical needs, put in place project plans and oversee their successful execution. The job will require frequent interaction with biologists, software engineers and marketing professionals in planning the work, developing novel ways to analyze the data and ensuring a smooth transition to software engineers for implementation in commercial software. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Essential Skills:
1. Excellent interpersonal, communication and planning skills
2. Graduate degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or a Physical Science with a strong background in the development and application of data analysis
3. Experience managing a team of analysis and/or software engineers in a multi-disciplinary and collaborative environment.
4. Experience with management and analysis of huge (Gb) datasets in the field of molecular biology or genomics
5. Programming skills in Perl, S, S-plus, Matlab or R and familiarity with both linux and windows operating systems.
