COMPANY

AgaMatrix is a consumer medical device company that develops and manufactures blood glucose monitoring (BGM) products for the diabetes market.  Products are based on the company's proprietary WaveSense? biosensor platform, which consists of a suite of patent-pending test strip, dynamic electrochemistry, digital signal processing, and lancing technologies.  First revenue will be achieved in 2006, and a steep growth path to the $100M sales level by 2009 is expected.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Data Analyst reports to the Manager of Product Development and will manage statistical analysis of experimental data during the product development and manufacturing phases.  Specific responsibilities include the following:

?  Implement data processing and data handling software in Matlab.

?  Write software for statistical analysis of data sets.

?  Write GUI for data handling and file manipulation.

?  Analyze, interpret and summarize quality control and manufacturing data for senior scientists and engineers.

?  Make recommendations to research and development teams for quality control and manufacturing process improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

?  Bachelor?s degree in statistics, mathematics, chemistry, chemical engineering, physics or related science.  Advanced degree preferred. 

?  3+ years experience conducting experimental data analysis in a chemistry lab environment.

?  3+ years experience programming in MATLAB or R.

? Knowledge of Statistical Process Control preferred.

?  Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment.
