Quintiles India is currently seeking an enthusiastic leader for our growing Bangalore, India based Statistical Services Organization. The Head of the Quintiles India Biostatistics office will manage and oversee a group of Statisticians and SAS Programmers providing Clinical Statistical Services to Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies around the world. Significantly growing the current group's capabilities through local hiring and training will be a primary responsibility. This person will be an integral member of Quintiles Global Biostatistics Organization with offices in North America, Europe, South Africa, Australia, and Japan.

Quintiles is open to this being a permanent India-based position or a role requiring temporary (1-2 yrs minimum) secondment to India.

The Ideal candidate will have:
- Ph.D in Statistics or Biostatics with minimum 9 years
relevant experience or Masters Degree in Statistics or
Biostatics with minimum 12 years relevant experience.
- A minimum 4 years managing staff in a contract research
or pharmaceutical industry setting, preferably as the head
of a department.
- Familiarity with most complex statistical methods and
industry guidelines applicable to clinical trials.
- A working knowledge of SAS.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- Intimate knowledge of local culture and customs including
hiring practices, etc.
