PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
Responsible for operational functions of Clinical Development. Specific functions include Contracts and Budget Management; Procedures, Systems, Policies, and Database Management; Medical Writing and Document Publication; and Clinical Staff Development and Education.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for implementation and management of one functional group within Clinical Operations. Manages staff to complete designated functions. Meets with therapeutic teams and other departments to assess needs for new services and customer satisfaction with current ones.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Advanced degree in appropriate discipline and 5-7 years clinical drug development experience.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical clinical development and ability to effectively apply technical principles, theories, and concepts to clinical drug development.
- Knowledge of FDA requirements and good clinical practices.
- For supervisory positions: strong leadership skills and ability to effectively manage projects and timelines.
