Director, Commercial Development

REPORTS TO: Vice President, Licensing & Commercial Development 



FUNCTION: This person is responsible for providing leadership of the commercial development programs at Immtech, including developing and executing the commercial strategies for Immtech?s pipeline of products, and supporting the development and implementation of Immtech?s business strategies.  In this capacity, the person works with Immtech?s Management Team to develop and execute commercial strategies which complement the R&D efforts of the company. 

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The person is responsible for:

1)  Defining and prioritizing market opportunities for the company?s pipeline products.

2)  In conjunction with R&D leadership, defining optimal product profiles to support clinical development plans, and ultimately maximizing commercial potential of the product.

3)  Developing and executing plans for commercial preparation, launch, and ongoing marketing of Immtech products.

4)  Identifying the partnering options for the development and commercialization of the company?s product line.

 

In this role, the Director, Commercial Development will maintain effective relationships with all of Immtech?s Management Team.  The person will effectively develop and utilize a network of internal and external experts and potential commercial partners.  The person will proactively identify new commercial opportunities complimentary to the Immtech portfolio, and work with Immtech management to prioritize these opportunities for collaboration or acquisition.

 BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:  Bachelors degree in life sciences required, advance degree (MBA) preferable

Experience / Skills: Ten or more years of increasing responsibilities in Marketing, Marketing Research, or New Product Planning in a Pharmaceutical environment. International product launch experience desirable.
