Director, Sales Training & Development
The Director, Sales Training and Development at Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. will lead the strategic direction of the Sales Training & Development group in the development and implementation of learning & leadership initiatives.
The Director, Sales Training and Development will:
- Oversee product training and leadership development across the commercial organization
- Establish alignment and focus with the product marketing teams and ensure shared vision translating strategy and tactics into actionable behavior by the field sales team
- Establish effective collaboration and co-promotion practices with our future partners to provide consistent training and development for the products we will co-promote
- Serve on commercial management teams collaborating to ensure effective cross commercial programs and activities (e.g. Product Marketing, CRM, and Compliance)
- Responsible for annual budget planning and LRP forecasting for Sales Training and Development
- Continuously perform necessary business needs analyses in specifying and targeting department goals in alignment with commercial direction and imperatives
- Maintain awareness of the present state of business and needs by keeping in constant contact with all the branches of the Commercial Organization
- Understand the culture and management of the organization and champions both the department's and the company's vision
Requirements
A BA and a minimum of seven years Pharmaceutical and/or Bio-pharmaceutical sales and management experience in addition to experience within the corporate office environment.
Have proven experience as a trainer and/or manager in a Sales Training Dept.
Demonstrate leadership in employee management skills.
Compliance Training Experience: Understands legal and compliance issues facing a pharmaceutical organization. Has worked extensively with Sales Management, Legal, Regulatory and Marketing, on Compliance training.
Understands field based and internal employee job responsibilities.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Vendor and contract negotiation skills.
